Xmas Parade

Today @ 6:30 pm @ jubilee ground.. My church - Trinity Methodist Church and many other churches went for a walk around town. We call it a parade but yeah it's mostly just walking around town holding candles and carolling. Soo.. lotsa churches participated, and the estimated number was around.. 3000 people. Yeapz, THREE THOUSAND. That's quite a large number.

So, walk started by normal singing and candle lighting.. Constant christmas wishes and greetings were said along the way. And also.. how do you suppose that 3000 people just waltz their way around town? Believe it or not, the police were in such a xmassy mood that they helped us with some personal roadblocks!! Wow.. First time in kuching history that such a big thing was held by churches and aided by the police summore. Not bad ey? Hahaha..

Throughout the walk.. Several self-made "floats" were found bobbing up and down among the sea of people. Some were extravagantly made while others looked like last minute work that we Malaysians are so famously known for. Lol. Paiseh ahh.. And I know you people must be tired of all these words.. Well, the parade was a hot and sweaty one. But had alot of fun bringing Marvin along with me and running up and down like idiots. Bet you can imagine that in your mind. And sadly, we were too busy finding familiar faces and taking pics of the floats that it never popped into our mind to take any pictures of the NUMEROUS PEOPLE and candles or even a decent pic of us. Haiz... Owelz..

In the end, caught up with eunice, franklin and alyssa and went for supper. And.. that was that. Quite a day well spent I might say. If any of you were out @ town, you would 've caught a glimpse of this once in a lifetime christian thing going on. Oh and btw, my church's float got 2nd place!!! Not bad for last minute work ey? Hahahaha.. Too bad FMC, better luck nextime. XD

Christmas Cookies

This past few days, I've been busily helping my mom out with some baking. Or maybe I should say ALOT of baking. All for our church's xmas dinner.. some sorta gift or something.. dunno lah.. Soo, been getting my hands down and dirty by making cookies for xmas. And.. here's a few lessons on how to do it correctly. [=

Step 1: Wrap the baked cookie in a zippo plastic bag so it won't "lau hong"


Step 2: Get the sticker

Step 3: Stick the sticker on the zippo plastic bag

Tada! You've just successfully finished wrapping + sticking a cookie! And for those who don't like chritmas trees.. Here are also:

Yea yea yea.. You people might say it doesn't seem much and that it's not such a tough job at all. Well.. Try saying repeating those 3 steps for like.. err.. let's say.. 300-400 times?? Yes, you heard me alright. THREE TO FOUR HUNDRED TIMES. And when you're done doing that, you would most probably be like me and end up hating cookies for the next few days. In the end, you'll get this:

Soo.. as you can see, my blog has went through a new face lift. Couldn't actually find a nice skin.. Chose this one because of the adorable dog, I'm a dog lover FYI. But.. can't edit it to the way EXACTLY i want it.. soo.. whatever lah. Credit goes to Jon who helped me choose this. Kind of a indecisive person I am. [=

On to my day.. hmm.. spent the whole day baking and wrapping them darn cookies for my mom. Souvenirs for my church's xmas dinner. Sorry for the lack of pictures, didn't had a camera and was too absent-minded to take pics with my phone. Owelz...

Well, christmas is just around the corner.. And what have you done to spice up your house for christmas? A christmas tree at home? Stockings by the... err.. door? Lol.. Santa hats for everybody? Anything at all? At least learn a couple of carols and sing it out loud like everybody in the world is deaf right? Do something christmassy for the house loh.. for your family and for yourself..
