You win some, You lose some.

By now, I'm sure everybody knows what's been happening. All I've gotta comment on this few events is that: you can't win everything.

1. Chelsea losing to Manchester United in penalties

Terry's mistake

What an action-packed way to end the Champions League finals man. A different coloured card-ful match, chest-bumping and foul committing game, a 1-1 draw, then come the penalties! The unbelievable thing is that, John Terry aka CAPTAIN of Chelsea slipped and missed his shot!

I was like half-celebrating when Ronaldo missed his shot already and this suppose-to-be injured retard went and do this stint. It all came down to Anelka who couldn't quite deliver as well. Sigh...

Drogba the idiot

Idiot Drogba shouldn't have gone and red-carded himself also. Would've been a much better result if he had done the penalty instead. Zzz..

2. American Idol 7: David Cook

DAVID COOK WINS!

Err.. For this, I gotta say that I haven't been following this season. AT ALL. So I don't know much about what's going on. The finals was the 1st episode I watched of American Idol this season. Lol. Except the retarded auditions where I laughed my ass off at the participants.

But, that's beside the point. Well, based solely on last night's performances. David Cook is the better singer, hands down. However, his song choices were crappy that night and that's why David Archuleta got all the sweet praises and encouraging comments from the judges. Even though Archuleta's young and all, I still prefer Cook and his rockin' style that sets him different than the rest of the American Idols.

Budden, who could seriously like Archuleta? Come on, he looks or should I say gay. Yes, GAY.
GAY GAY GAY GAY. Would you just look at him, him and his.. squinty eyes and the big bloody lips of his when he sings. *pukes* You know what? He reminded me of Zac Efron and that guy is undeniably gay. Period.

Anyways, David Cook won!! He's the 7th American Idol! Congrats to him man, he deserved it. Keep on rockin' David Cook!

3. Hall 5 = Soccer Champions!

Was saving the best for last, remember I told mentioend in my last post about the post exam activity: inter-hall soccer? Well, the finals were held on Monday and guess what? My hall, hall 5 won!! We thrashed the powerhouse Hall 2 with their imba (short for imbalance) players and power long shots 3-1 and beat Hall 8 with a slim score of 1-0.

Best part was, this is Hall 5's first win in like.. 3 years? According to 1 of the boarders who's been staying in Hall 5 for some time. So, glory glory Hall 5!! Finally we won something, #1 in soccer baby! Oh and yes, I did contributed as the goalkeeper. In case you people thought that I was just reporting events and incidents as usual. =P

Updates Updates!

Sorry people for the lack of updates. Been up to lotsa things lately so haven't found the time to update. Now that my schedule's lightening up, I can finally sit down, relax and dust the cobwebs of my blog.

So, where to start.. where to start. Hmm.. Well, boarding school's been pitching in with the post exam activities. Inter-hall DotA, soccer & badminton. Badminton was crap as people who didn't even know how to play joined it all because of the points system. Zzz.. Ended up 6th out of 9 halls. Not that bad, but definitely could've done better.

As for DotA, it was real tight especially from semi-finals on. Hadta play smart and a real close game with Hall 7 & 6 to secure a place in the finals. However, we Hall 5 got thrashed by Hall 4 in the last game due to some lousy play by 2 of the team members. Hence, Hall 5 walked away at the end of the day in 2nd place. =\

Our last hope lies in the inter-hall soccer, which we Hall 5 still stand a chance of being champions. Gonna be fighting Hall 8 & Hall 2 over the 1st place tomorrow night. Wish us all the best man. And oh, FYI I'm the goalie for Hall 5. =D didn't participate for the other two activities though.

Just last night, ASEAN Night happened. A night of games, food and performances. Was kind of a rip off since the food wasn't enough and the games just couldn't be lamer. As for the performances? Gotta say, most of the band were sh*t lousy, only the ACS(I) band did well with the song "Perfect" despite a few faulty practices on the day itself.

As for me, I played the guitar for a duet performance by the Fame Champion & Runner up - Daryl & Felisa who were singing Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours". For a 1 day rushed practice, everything went well and smoothly mainly because of Daryl & Felisa I suppose. Popularity and fame > the performance itself. Owelz.. Will try to get my hands on the video if there is one, then I'll post it up here. =D

To round it all up, been going out for movies, pool, and lotsa other stuff. Just been enjoying post exam days. As for exam results? Well, let's just say it never happened eh? Hehehehe. Till nextime, ciao readers!

Double Trouble for Manchester United

VS

After an intense, nail-biting game between these two English heavyweights, a game that lasted 90 minutes with addition of 30 minutes of extra time. The score was:

Chelsea 3 - Liverpool 2

Chelsea dominated the first half of the game, with Drogba taking the lead by putting in Kalou's shot, which was blocked by Reina into the net. Torres then retaliated with a hustle shot in the second half, which tied the game 1 - 1.

With the previous game score of 1 - 1 also, the aggregate was now 2 -2 which led to extra time. During the first 15 minutes of extra time, the Chelsea magic happened. Ballack was tackled by Hyypia in the penalty box, which then led to a penalty taken by Lampard. And of course, Lampard scored easily. (See, Lampard did it for his mom. I told you so. I TOLD YOU SO!!! =P)

The second goal was contributed by Anelka who provided a superb assist which Drogba conveniently put into the net leaving Liverpool trailing behind by 2 goals. Score now is, Chelsea 3 - Liverpool 1.

Despite the demoralizing first half, Babel who subsituted for Torres lifted the hopes of the team by producing a powerhouse long shot that found home in Chelsea's net. Score: Chelsea 3 - Liverpool 2.

With very little time left, Liverpool struggled and strived hard to find an equaliser but just couldn't manage to do it in time. Chelsea was then declared the winner.

Most Valuable Player: Didier Drogba

Despite putting on a couple of "swan dives" as commented by Rafael Benitez, Drogba proved his worth by cooly adding two more goals into his career, thus putting Chelsea through to the Champion finals.

And oh yes, how could we ever forget Liverpool's left-back, John Arne Riise. Without him, this couldn't have been possible. Thanks Riise for the own goal, and hope there's many more to come in your career. XD

So, what's next? Chelsea will be facing Manchester United in the Champions finals AND at the same time, competing with the SAME club in the last two games of the EPL. Either way, Chelsea won't let Manchester United off without a fight for either two titles. It's either, Chelsea - champions for both OR Man United takes one and Chelsea takes the other BUT it definitely won't be Man U taking both home. Mark my words, this Chelsea won't allow.

Till then, it'll be Chelsea vs. Manchester United for both sides. May the best team win.
